by Ronnie Homestead on I tried their burritos and chips w/ gauc and salsa. Chips are a little thicker than I'd like them to be, and the gauc and salsa soaked into the chips, making them wet and thus, mediocre. The carnitas burrito (no beans, no rice, gauc, salsa and sour cream) was good, and when I say good, I mean it was flavorful. However, it's very lime-y and not everyone enjoys the lime in every meat flavor. Overall, a good place to grab a bite, although a little pricy and cash only, but I've had better.
by Jeanmarie Pavletic on 2 stars may be a bit harsh. but i live and hang out in the East Village...and this place does not belong here..stopped by once on a Saturday night and it was trendy teeny bopper heaven. stopped by again involuntarily last night (Wed) and wasn't so bad. it was kinda dull upstairs but downstairs it was a bit more packed and the DJ kept the dancefloor packed. i was drunk so i had a good time but it's definitely not one of my go-to spots. crowd was a bit diverse, still young, but i'll take that over Euro-trash any day!
by Delta C. on In all fairness I was halfway to sassy when I checked this place out. So if you want to have the same experience that I did then I suggest downing a liter of Gordon's in the alley before going in. The name is what lured me in as I am a huge Hitchcock fan. Door guys were really nice and the bartender gave us free jello shots when she found out it was my birthday. The place is cash only but there is an ATM machine. You'll need cash anyways as at some point in the evening there will be some guy who decides to take his shirt off and dance waaay too close to you. You can either tip him or dodge him by hopping up on either the bar or one of the benches along the wall to shake your shit...no one seemed to mind when I did it..I mean when my friend did it. They play your typical booty-drop-it-like-its-hot-get-low music which puts everyone in a good mood and the crowd is clearly having a good time. Overall it probably isn't my kind of place but I would come back as it is one of the more fun places in that area to dance off that alley alcohol.
