by neal h. on I hate you Mighty. You oversell events routinely, egregiously and without shame. For a while I could deal with it, but after 10pm it gets to feeling dangerous. Not only do I grow to hate you mighty, but I grow to hate everyone else in the room, everyone who shoves their way into the non-existant spaces around me, smearing me with their stale sweat. I've been to a lot of dance events and the only ones I have walked out of early (not because I was tired) have been at Mighty. I am used to being in a crowd and around dancing people but this is a new level of bad. The painful thing about Mighty is that they 1) have a beautiful interior, 2) have a great sound system 3) often book good music, but 4) ridiculously oversell events. I bet the fire marshal would like to know... until then, poo on you Mighty. *update* Someone from Mighty contacted me to quell the foul taste in my mouth and I have given them an extra star for the effort.
by Alan Dovenmuehler on (This review is for Friday nights) I'm a bit sketchy about Suite 181. It's a nice club with two floors however that's about it. First off, their guestlist is pointless to extinction. Guest list closes at 11pm yet they don't let people in until 10:30pm! On top of that they super lag acting like the club is super packed and that they can only let in a few people at a time when really, at early hours of 10-1130pm it's more crackin outside than in. Then once you get past the big heads they call bouncers, you have to pay the ridiculous $20 cover even if you are just a minute past 11pm, thanks to their super slow retarded bouncers who have to take 10 minutes to card and pat down down 1 person. How much do they get paid anyways? Next, you pay almost $10 just to get $2 worth of alcohol in your drink after having to wait 20 minutes just to get to the bar and 10 minutes until your finally noticed by the bartender. Oh!! and don't get me started on the music.. the music is like murder to my ears. I know what good music and good mixing is and none of the djs have it. Where the hell do they get these DJ's from? I mean seriously! charging $20 a night they should be able to afford better DJ's. These DJ's are so out of it and don't have much of their own style that they play the same sheit that they did the last time I was there! same music and everything...boy oh boy was I dumbfounded. They sucked. I wonder forreal who was paying money week after week to listen to that musical massacre...OH oOH OH! I know! the under aged girls (and guys) that get in with their Fake ID's. Please..people..if you are not 21 or over, you are not mature enough to be in a 21 n up crowd, and that fact is found in itself. I find going to suite 181 is not an enjoyable experience anymore because everybody is immature in the way they act and dress. It's so..hmm..what's the word? BOPPER!!! Where the girls wear bras over bras over bras and dance up and mack all on each other, while the guys aren't manly enough to ASK a girl to dance and just stand and ogle. Or sometimes just mysteriously dance all up on you! WTF! There have been fights last times I've been here so the guys obviously cannot hold their liquor either and instead act on it. This club is no longer classy as it really should be but trashy and GHETTO! It's like going to an underaged strip club on broadway for underaged guys. Boo! thumbsdown
