by Harry Furtado on I came here for the first time this past weekend. Coat check for 3$, can add another one for another 2$. I don't know if it was only this night, but the music was awesome! They played a bunch of old school west coast/east coast jams. Everything else about this place was ehh... The place was pretty empty. mostly asians. they have about 3 different dance floor sections. The main one had some live performances, which the ppl weren't really feelin' cus u couldn't really dance to it. The other smaller dance floors played like house/techno music. Something about this place just doesn't click tho, you just get the feeling that it's not as poppin' as the other clubs in the area..
by Eddy N. on Only came for the jazz club. Great venue, very nice elegant decor, nice atmosphere. Will definitely come again. One order minimum in the jazz club, had the spicy tuna roll, which was very good. Decent selection of beers, bottled and on draft. Be sure to get there early to get a good seat if you buy general admission. Hopefully can eat in the dining room soon.
by Roger Diiorio on My all time favorite place to go for beers in the summer. The porch is great. I am not sure what it is about the Local, but I have always loved it. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is great and the atmosphere is just divey and gritty enough to be comfortable. What else could you ask for on a balmy summer evening?
