What a great event! I was excited to find a cheap show in a nice neighborhood that's local and throws in a free drink (and HALLELUJAH for free parking. You should never have to pay to park!). Wasn't sure what to expect but I'd say it exceded my lack of expectations. haha. Some of the acts were funnier than others but there was a good variety of material and the time was definitely enjoyable. I laughed a lottt. The theater is super intimate (overflow runs onto the stage) with about 30 seats, so get ready for potential audience participation. FYI -- if you haven't been there before, it's next door to Priscilla's coffee shop. I heard it was across from Bob's Big Boy but [coming from Hollywood Way] if you start looking from Bob's, you've already missed it. Overall I had an awesome time and definitely recommend it! I'm sure I'll be back.

Talk about being in the hood after dark. I'm not a big fan of the TL but next I come through man " when I pop the truck hit the deck ..." because the next mo fo that decides to throw rocks off the roof , I'm sendin them hot ones... But on to 222. This is a pretty cool spot it reminds me of the old brooklyn basement parties I would go to back in the day. If it wasn't for the musical stylings on chicanina I would have never gone to this spot. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that the bartender(s) need to lighten up on the designated drivers. Just because I'm not drinking doesn't mean you charge me $4 for a coke in a little ass glass with (how do you say it) hella ice! I hope that bartender was just having a bad night and they do that on the regular... but fo'real go check this spot out you'll really like although its in the hood.
