by Tom V. on Who likes this place? Thats right, I like this place. I think its especially great when its not packed to the gills. Its dark so I cant tell if everyone is actually really good looking or if its just the poor lighting. Whatever, I like getting drunk here, swaying around to all the good djs they have playing and then falling down alll over someone on the couch afterwards. As borat would say "its niceeee"
by Daren Dellwo on As Irene said - the staff here is....gorgeous. In that "I wouldn't turn you down if you asked me out on a date" kind of way. The "I look this way even first thing in the morning" gorgeous. It's a real draw, at least for me. That being said, the Local serves up food as good as the drinks they pour. Tator tots, burgers, wings, mmm! And the bartenders pour with a heavy hand, with liquor drinks hovering at $5.00. You'll get way more liquor here for that $5 than you would anywhere else! I've been here many many many evenings yet never reviewed. Hmm. WHY? SERIOUSLY, I love everything about this place. It's a great pre-MJQ spot to eat and drink and people watch. Half the people there will be at MJQ later that night so take notes and keep your eye on that girl or guy you really wanna dance with later that night. If you get there around 10:30ish, there's usualy some parking in the lot that MJQ/Drunken Unicorn backs up to. There might only be one spot left and you might have a sort of game of chicken determining who is ballsy enough to just pull into the space and steal it from the other car....oh wait that was me. But it's free parking, no less :)
