Little, out of the way speakeasy (the good one's are always hard to find). Had two different drinks based on recommendations by the waitress and both were great!

Two words: Rude, Pretentious. If you like being treated like you're in a prison line-up then by all means... patronize this overrated Rainforest-Cafe clone. Yes they have a bunch of hot waitresses frolicking around in string bikinis; the eye-candy element is covered! Once you're inside though it all changes. The treatment you get from the roving bouncers INSIDE the club is abhorrent. You'll be continuously pushed, prodded, told to stand 4 inches from this wall or 8 inches from that line, etc.... all this while you're being gouged for drinks. Don't even think about using their ATM machine at the entrance; very suspicious looking.... I wouldn't be surprised if your personal info wound up in some Nigerian bank after you use it.

Awwwwww. I can't believe someone gave away the parking secret. It sounds corny but there is nothing better than sitting smugly with your marg and watching a Paris Hilton wannabe try to wedge her massive SUV into that tiny street spot. I'll never get a seat at the bar now. I have to say that many of the people who don't like Trudy's have some valid points. It's a bit like complaining though that the Posse doesn't have cloth napkins. It's all in what you are going there for. I have probably been to Trudy's at least 100 times (I live 3 blocks away) and I have consistently received decent reasonably priced food and drinks. They also have many vegetarian items that are clearly marked on the menu. It's loud and the service is sometimes a tad slow but I will most likely go back 100 more times. Sadly the waitstaff changes almost weekly so you're never really a regular there (except for Fidel the busboy who has been there at least 8 years). All in all I have to recommend Trudy's (this location only). It's not the best Mexican food in town but it is pretty good and after a few of the strong drinks they serve, who cares!
