this location has changed faces numerous times in the past few years, and as a result i've never been interested to try it. however i noticed it got a face lift, and then my bf told me they do reverse happy hour, so we gave it a try. we sampled quite a food few items. the fried coconut shrimp wontons with cream cheese were really good and crunchy, but i didn't taste that much shrimp. also tried the austin roll with salmon tuna and escolar; very good and fresh, def get this roll! the shrimp crunch roll was pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. i liked the gyoza and it came with pickled veggies which were a great complement. the sweet potato fries with sweet chilli sauce are pretty amazing, thick cut and crispy. Beautiful restaurant and bar area. Very trendy and nice to see reverse happy hour with good food at a great price. Great service - friendly, good recs, fast. parking is tough in this area, but you can at least go out after!

The first thing I thought when I saw the velvet rope and the sign with just an H on it was pre-tentious. The interior is black with high ceilings and paintings everywhere, I think they were trying to go for a high class brothel motiff. I did like the big aquarium where you can observe smokers in their natural habitat. In all seriousness this place is a little too hot, the music is a little too loud, and I thought it was low class the way they ignored us at the bar trying to order while they let clock run out on the happy hour specials. I had a good time here but mostly because it was full of meetup people, I don't think I'd like it on a normal night.

I like the contemporary feel at Middlesex..small space with modern yet simple furniture...high ceilings...is very fitting.. The bar is not super stocked but has most of the essentials even for those of you with a 5star taste..i was pleasantly surprised to find some hard to find scotch at this semi casual venue... limited food menu..with some variety from dumplings to nachos..seems cheap..but not the food quantity is very limited...I would not be here for an extended period of time or with a very large group of friends..but do enjoy it with one or few friends..where I can just chill.
