by Wayne L. on Definitely do not come to this establishment, unless you feel like dropping a ton of money to be treated terribly by the staff and to get some mediocre food. I've been here 3 times and each time the experience was worse the the previous. I'll try to be fair with this review, but will recall the incident that made me vow never to return. The incident: At the end of the meal my friend was tipsy and undertipped by accident. Our waiter, Michael, gave her a really hard time about this. (which I think is rude), but he didn't let up. It ended up with him pushing her and saying some pretty nasty things. She started crying, so I got involved to figure out what happened. When I went and confronted Michael about this, he continued his rant on me. I then went to his manager, and she did nothing to make the situation better. Other than to say "I'm sorry". This is while her employee continued to talk sh*t to me. What kind of establishment tolerates this kind of treatment of their customers??? Alright -- now trying to be objective: Pros: - Come for entertainment -- it's definitely something unique and worth experiencing once - Come for drinks and to party -- after dinner the techno turns up and the club is pretty fun - Decor -- sitting on big huge beds while eating. Fun stuff. Cons: - Staff -- Our waiter pushed my friend and made her cry!! Then refused to apologize when confronted about it. Seriously??? - Food is definitely not worth the price you're paying.
by Kasey Bosefski on Oh gosh. Strata. I hate the club scene. I really do, but when you want to be a good host and take your visitors to places like "this," you do what you gotta do. It was a cold and wintery night, an I was pretty comfortable. I didn't do the whole thong and t-shirt look like the other women did, and I had to take verbal abuse from these whores on heels when the bouncer let us inside instead of these shivering vaginas (literally). We got inside and my friend found a stalker instantly who stayed on her ass like a hawk (niiice!) The drinks were sooooo expensive, but I managed to get tipsy after one long island (it was basically gasoline in a cup). The music was fun until the obsessive-compulsive DJ tediously partitioned the music by genres which kind of messed up the flow towards the end. It was fun watching people have sex on the floor (also known as dancing)...that was interesting...annnnd many of the guests had a hard time keeping their drinks in their cups (it's raining alcohol everybody!!! WHOOOO)! Soooo, Strata? You suck ass.
by Jason M. on Fabulous view, check. Nice loungy decor, check. Great cocktails, check. Crappy waitress that was too busy flirting with the table next to us to do anything in a reasonable amount of time, check. I'm sure glad I wasn't trying to get drunk. I can't comment on the clientele as others have since this was a Monday night and it was fairly dead, a double whammy for our crappy cocktail waitress.
