Never again will I go to Estate. I have been there before on several occasions, and none of those times have been particularly impressive, but we decided to come here for Halloween because it was supposedly THE place to be. But what happened that Saturday has ensured that I will not be coming back. First of all, we arrived early and we were on the guestlist My friends and I were either the second or third group of people in line. We were told that guestlist doesn't start let people in until 10. We could see the general admission line, and saw that they were letting people in, and we were thinking, "that's not right," but we just chalked it up to those people having bought their tickets online ahead of time (we tried to buy our tickets online, but they were sold out, which is why we ended up on the guestlist instead).. So, finally, 10 o'clock rolls around and they still haven't started letting people in. We ask the bouncers, "how come you're not letting people in?" The bouncers don't give us eye contact and just mutter, "2 seconds." So now, while waiting in line, one of our friends gets a little rowdy, and the bouncer kicks him out of line. My friend apologizes, but the bouncer makes him leave. As my friend leaves, the bouncer shouts to him, "get out of here. there is no way you're getting in tonight." My friend ends up getting into the general admission line. Ten to fifteen minutes later, we get a call - he is inside. Where were we? Yes, you, guessed it. Still in the VIP line. So, by now it's 10:45. They finally start letting people in. The bouncers stand with their backs to us and start taking the IDs of the people in line behind us. After about 10 mins on and off of letting people in, someone we knew who was in line probably 30 feet behind us had gotten in and we were still in line. I ask the bouncers, "why are you letting people behind us in line in the club before us?" The bouncer turns around to face us, and says, "can't you guys back up?" and waves us back with his hands and turns his back to us again. They ignore us again, and when we ask them (again) if they're letting people in, the bouncer again turns around and tells us to back up. At this point, I'm beyond annoyed. I let him know that we haven't moved at all (seeing as how nobody in the front was even getting in) and he just turns back around and ignores us again. Seriously, these bouncers were such toolbags. The short, fat, blonde one was the worst. As my friends and I are discussing going next door, the bouncers starts letting people in. My friend tells the short, fat, blonde one, "we have nine people." He tells her, "ok, I can let 10 people in." I finally get in the door, and I turn around and 3 of my friends were still outside, including my boyfriend! I tell the bouncer, my boyfriend is outside, and he ignores me. Those of us inside get ushered away as soon as we pay cover. Once inside, it was...underwhelming...And we found out that our friends who came in the general admission line paid the same amount of cover as us. So...what exactly is the point of the guestlist? My boyfriend texts me about 45 mins I had gotten in. He had given up by this point and had gone next door. His text to me says, "the guy who was waiting next to me is still in line." wtf? seriously? We think we've figured it out. Estate has to pay Isis for each person they bring in through the guestlist, so they want people to come in through general admission so they don't have to pay Isis a commission. But since the bouncers probably get ZERO of that, why couldn't they just tell us, straight up, the real reason they weren't letting us in? Or even just tell us that the general admission line is muuuuuuuch quicker? Isis has to know what's going on. If not, hopefully they catch on soon, because Estate is not doing them any favors.

Confirming previous reviews, bubble tea here is strange. I drove all the way out here (I live in Smyrna) because when I did a search for "bubble tea", this place came up and the ratings looked awesome. So I walk straight up to the counter and the girl didn't say anything or even look in my direction. To feel less awkward, I meandered over to the cake display for a minute and admired their heaviness before walking back and standing right in front of the cash register...practically on top of it actually. This time the girl actually looked at me but still didn't say anything. Ok, i don't care, whatever. Whenever I try out a new bubble tea place, I like to order the Green Milk Tea with tapioca as a 'control' for comparison purposes and then another order that's slightly more adventurous..so I went with a Mango Milk Tea. To start, I knew something was going to be funky when I saw her pour a full cup of milk into a blender. If you know milk tea, then you know it's usually made with creamer, not actual milk...but again, whatever, i'm keeping an open mind. She then put in a few scoops of powder (I assume green tea flavoring), blended it up, and poured it into a 20 oz cup filled 90% with ice and maybe 15 tapioca balls (that's 1/3 to 1/2 of what I'm used to)... The total came out to $8.50ish, which is a bit steep, to say the least. Now on to the taste: * Green milk tea - tastes exactly like iced milk with a teeeny hint of green tea powder..that's correct, I did not mention sugar because there was no sugar. * Mango milk tea - tastes exactly like the green milk tea with a shot of some sort of fruit-flavored syrup (definitely not mango). This is the better of the two simply because it was sweet...almost too sweet actually, but I didn't mind it after drinking the plain-ish unsweetened ice milk. Besides the obvious weirdness of flavor, these two teas were really disappointing because I finished drinking one before I even made it out of the parking lot. I just spent $10 after tip on 2 beverages that contain no more than 6-8 oz of actual fluid each. A large bubble tea from anywhere else usually lasts me a good 15-20 minutes and costs way less. So why am I giving it 2 stars instead of 1? Well, it's because I feel like their cakes and frozen bubble teas could be better, based on the other reviews here, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try again in a few weeks.

Yum. This precious little market in Inman Park will definitely be a regular hangout for me if I end up moving there. Situated in an old house, a full service restaurant is upstairs with a more casual market/deli in the back, downstairs. After some apartment shopping, we made our way in to the market for a late lunch. The sandwiches all looked divine and I went for the fried tomato BLT. The prices were a wee bit high, but kind of what you'd expect for this kind of place. The communal table was full and it didn't looked like anyone had bussed the smaller tables in some time. After standing idly for a bit, we cleared a table ourselves and waited for our sammiches to arrive. My BLT was very good but a bit messy, and I liked the combination of both fried tomatoes and fresh. The remoulade was spicy and very tasty. -1 star for all of the books at our table about how to get pregnant. It made the whole experience just a wee bit awkward.
