I don't understand all the bad reviews. If your not prepared to have fun then no nightclub will make it fun for you, you got to bring on the fun! I guess i enjoy it here because of the people i come here with and see here......... And that what makes a night fabulous!

Maybe we speak a different language down in LA, but the word "Ultra Lounge" is suppose to mean a nice bar with possibly a dance floor and plush areas to sit down. Where the heck did Icon decide to add "Ultra Lounge" to their name? There was nothing Ultra nor Loungey about this place. Went here on my Frisco Thursday Night barcrawl.  Friend was promoting the place and when I got in, wow, there was no one and the people that were there looked like they just rolled out of bed.  It was nice that it wasn't crowded  b/c then the bartender yelled "half priced drinks"..woot!~ I like the sound of that.  The place itself is very narrow and there is no smoking patio (you just smoke in the front).  The restroom is basically one single restroom per gender.    Ventilation was next to nothing.  Staff was pretty chill (then again it was pretty dead).  No place to sit at all. Music was pretty decent (bay area DOES know their hip hop) but I just wasn't feeling the crowd.  It seemed like a mix of rookie drinkers and high school people.

I expected to get small overpriced servings of mediocre food in a pretentious environment surrounded by hipsters. I got my hipsters, a strong drink worth the 9 dollars it cost and a huge meal of decent quality. Won tons and naan chips.  Not worth touching. Chinese long beans, corn tempura, cider soy dipping sauce.  Soggy tempura, sauce didn't match well. Curried Coconut Chicken Empanadas.  Very good unless you don't like spicy things. Braised short ribs. Fabulous, melt in your mouth yummy. Braised Lamb Shank in Adobo.  Wonderful Grilled ahi tuna.  Ok. Desserts not interesting at all.  Coconut bread pudding, chocolate ginger torte and something else I've totally forgotten about. Note to management.  Turn on the HEAT.  It's sad when your hostess is wearing a gigantic coat and scarf.
