Love the cheesy japanesy décor which makes it feel like your in a famous sumo wrestler's mansion. (Yup, the place is HUGE) Also, there are enough bars in Hiro so that your not waiting for like 2343 minutes, just to get a beer. Two sumo thumbs UP!
by Nguyet Churchwell on HUGE. Great exhibits. Tons of people. This place is literally the largest aquarium in the world. The huge tanks are breathtaking. They have whale sharks, and beluga whales! There are lots of areas where you can walk under as well as around tanks for many different points of view. There are also some rare sea creatures, like the weedy seahorse (cool little guys that look a bit dragonish), and big Japanese spider crabs. It really blows the Monterey Bay Aquarium away. Tickets go for about $35, but I think they can be had cheaper if you do some kind of City Pass type thing and go to other local attractions too. It's great for families, just make sure everyone stays together. I went on a weekday during the day and the place was PACKED. Definitely a must see if you're in Atlanta.
by Britney C. on Not a good date place. At all. My date at the time chose this place for cocktails. For what reason I have no idea why. We went when there was a big Giants game playin' on the big screens so the place was SUPER PACKED. I couldn't even get a seat at the bar. So I had to friggin' stand. On a date. And it was loud. He was standing right next to me and I had to keep yelling at him "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Since I wasn't paying, I ordered drink after drink after drink. They were okay but not as stiff as I like them to be. I'll probably go here again.... maaaaaaaaybe.... with a big group of friends. But I will never ask my BF to take me here for a night out. Oh and the guy I went on a date with is not my current BF. This date was the last of that guy.
