My boyfriend and I wanted to go to the opening of BBP in Philly last Tuesday night, but with 4 young kids between us we decided to wait. Thank God we did. We went on Friday night - sans kids - and the line was insane! That being said, the one hour wait in line was well worth it. Folks are commenting on how there was only one cashier working - I made the same comment to my boyfriend when we got in the door to which he pointed out that if they moved the line along any quicker by adding another cashier there'd be no seats. And there were seats available which at first was surprising given the number of people in line and the relatively small size of the place. We sat right down at the counter. It is worth mentioning that the wait staff was super friendly and accommodating...be interesting to see if that lasts past the first week. Anyway, on to the food...I had the LA Burger and I fretted over this decision the entire hour I was in line because there were so many good ones to chose from. Turns out it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. It doesn't come with any sauce on it and I never even thought to put ketchup and mustard (my normal burger combo) on it because the flavor of the burger was just so damn good I didn't want to mask it with anything else. My boyfriend had the Ceasar burger which was the April burger of the month. We taste tested each others burger. He said mine was better than his. He was right. But, the pepper flavor on his burger was super delish. I agree with some other reviewers that the fries left a litte something to be desired. We got the sweet potatoe fries and the regular fries. Sweet potatoes were probably the best I've had, but I'm not gaga over sweet potatoe fries so I was more interested in the regular fries. They were a litte disappointing because they really weren't seasoned. No salt, no spices, nada. The dipping sauce was tasty and I was thankful to have it to dip my unsalted, unspiced fries. I actually dipped my fries in all of the sauces at the counter and loved them as well - especially the Chipotle Ketchup. We also split the Vanilla Caramel Bourbon shake. Wow, that was a good shake. Try the shake. I want the pistachio one next time - no alcohol, but I love pistachio ice cream. Bottom line on BBP - you've got to go. They hype on a Food Network star opening a burger chain will not let you down. Bobby knows how to make a great burger and uses the best quality meat to do it. I can't wait to go back and try another one.

I have only ever been here for lunch during the workday. It is less than a block from my office, but I hear they are only open at night now which is sad. Everything I have ever eaten here is basically the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Especially the fish tacos and there is a pasta dish with scallops that is completely amazing. It is easy to screw up scallops so this impresses me. I have never had sushi here, but I have heard good things.
