I've been here several times and so far Slide has not disappointed. My friends and I always come before 11 and we never have any trouble getting in. No lines or anything. But once after 11 the place always gets packed and it gets hot and sweaty in there. It also makes it harder to order drinks at the bar. The music here is a hit or miss depending on the DJ that's spinning. The crowd here is usually a good mix. One thing though for you group of guys who want to come here, I suggest coming here before 11 or else they enforce the 1-1 ratio. I've seen a group of 6-7 guys get in easily without having any girls with them. But then again I only saw that happen once so be prepared if you get denied. Oh and the slide that they have inside, you can go down it own if you're wearing pants. Dresses, skirts and short shorts are not allowed. Even if you don't go down the slide you're not missing much. It's really short and it hurt since one of the planks was propping up a litle =/

Ecco was a great experience from beginning to end. It had the vibe of a great Manhattan restaurant and it made me wonder why I don't try new restaurants more often. We arrived a few minutes before our reservations and when I saw how crowded the bar was, I hesitated before proceeding in. But the second my husband and I literally squeezed up to the bar, a bartender saw us and promptly took our drink order. I've never had service so fast at such a crowed bar. We stumbled across a couple of empty seats and were more than happy to drink our perfectly made gin martinis. Once seated, our waitress was quickly at our table seeing if we needed our drinks refilled. She gave wonderful suggestions for what to try on the menu and everything she suggested we loved. I feel myself using a lot of saccharine words to write this review but I have to say my first impression of this place left me feeling excited to go again. It really was one of the most pleasurable dining experiences I've had in a long time. It was crowded and to some, it might have been a bit loud. But for me, that just made me feel like I actually live in a big city!

Came here with the gf last night. Kind of a last minute thing but ive been meaning to come out here for a while. Finally arrived and realized that there was a $10 cover charge which i knew nothing about so that was a bummer, but its ok because the music is great. The setup of the restaurant makes for a great place to take a date. It does seem a bity touristy, especially with union square right down the street. The music last night was amazing and the atmosphere was really nice. The menu is limited but good. We started off with the short ribs and chicken wings. The short ribs are very saucy, but they were tasty. The hot wings were spicier then other places but still good. However their portions are small, especially with the starters. I also had the jumbalaya which was spicy and hardy and very tasty.
