by Jennifer J. on It's fun on PYT nights. I haven't been otherwise. Likely I would be annoyed with the crowd on any other night. But it gets on with my prissy gay self on PYT Fridays.
by Twila Dovenmuehler on Yes, a throw-back from the 40s-50s nightclub era. Bartenders and door men in suits. I have seen a number of shows there over the last 20 years. I only go to see the performer. The sound engineer needs help. One event was difficult to listen to because of a static hum over the music. Another time, the volume was so loud you couln't hear yourself. Once in awhile, the sound is right on the mark and that can change from group to in a single night. Do yourself a favor, eat before you go. Even just serving "pub food" is too much of a task for the Bimbo's kitchen. The food comes from the kitchen over cooked and cold. Maybe it is not the completely the fault of the kitchen. It was far easier to go to the bar to get drinks because the waitress took forever. All in all, it would be the performer that brings me back not the venue.
