I have been a fan of the Continental Restaurant (both Midtown and downtown) for a few years now. I am always pleased with their food and atmosphere. I suppose that's where I'll start: decor. the Midtown is fitted with a retro style. It's bright and open for weekend brunches, yet intimate enough for a quaint dinner. The booths are decked with Cadillac-style seating, and the second floor has cozy chairs that hang from the ceiling! I have always been taken by the unique spin the Continental puts on their delicious food - from the Szechuan Shoestring Fries to the French Onion Soup Dumplings, and from the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna (with Mushroom Risotto) to the Flank Steak with Goat Cheese, my tastebuds have always been satisfied. Everything has a bold flavor that I just love. What's unique about the Continental is the Tapas style menu it presents. Some dishes will be a bit smaller, while others, big enough to share. Additionally, dishes will come out when the chef is done with them. While some might find this a bit out of the ordinary, I prefer to have my food hot and fresh as opposed to sitting under a heat lamp while the chefs pull together the other dishes. I definitely recommend going here - brunch (their granola is spectacular and homemade, and the bacon is thick cut and flavorful), lunch (try the lobster mac-n-cheese, made with orzo!), or dinner (the bruschetta is also to die for - mostly made with arugula and a few grape tomatoes, the seasonings and goat cheese make it fantastic).

No cover charge on a Saturday night... The dance floor was still pretty empty at 10p.m. when we arrived. We went in a pack of 5 girls. I was able to snag a little corner that had red leather seats and kept our belongings there while dancing the entire night. (little tables to set our drinks on too- no bottle service needed) Good hip hop music, enough stalls in the bathroom, and I didn't care too much for the other side of the bar.  The place is much bigger than I expected, when we first pulled up to valet. Come 12:30a.m. the place was jam packed, crawling with people everywhere. Mixed crowd, but there were a lot of Asians.. I didn't mind it a bit, because there were not much pretentiousness at all. I'm surprised I never heard of this place sooner.
