by Werner Pinks on I must admit that I have never had a drink here. Also, I was only here one time. I was buying cigars with a friend at the cigar shop around the corner. He had been to The Edison before and he encouraged me to pop in and take a look. We walked up and were stopped by the doorman. It was early, there was no one around. The doorman looked us up and down and proceeded to tell us what was wrong with the way we were dressed. I said "We were just buying cigars and my friend told me that I should see the place." He said, "Well, if you are not going to stay long, you can go in but you'll have to leave before the crowd arrives." We went in and looked the place over. My friend asked if I wanted to get a drink. I said "No, I feel insulted. After the way that doorman spoke to me, I'm not going to give this place money." That was it. I've never been back. I have heard similar complaints from my neighbors (in downtown L.A.) of doormen being rude and the dress code seems to be whatever the guy at the door says at that moment.

We arrived at around 1am with a group of 5 guys and 3 girls so we weren't surprised when they denied the guys at the door (it's NYC, deal with it). So we told them we would buy a table in order to get in. Funny thing is, we never actually received a table. We were brought to the bar in the VIP section and literally sitting on the bar was our bottle of goose in ice. WTF? Where was the TABLE and bottle SERVICE? We look at the bill and we were charged full 20% gratuity AND $50 for a fruit plate. So we ask the bartender what the hell is a "fruit plate" and she responds, "it's standard". Worst table/vip service I have ever experienced! Promoters - Extremely rude and arrogant. Music - Mostly House from 1am on. Not a big fan of Korean music at the club. Crowd - All Koreans. The guys there are mad sketch as all the girls with us were complaining about random people groping and trying to dance with them. Venue - Average, but really hot (temperature) inside. If it was possible to give this place ZERO stars I would!

I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews on here..heres a recap of the good and the bad Good- *we got a vip private booth thing in the back, it was nice,girl was attentive with the bottle service..it was pretty big and fit my friends huge enterouge of family *music was pretty good,some old school and new stuff to *we had guestlist so we didnt have a problem at the door getting in free BAD * its on folsom so there is a mix of people walking down there, be careful where u park! not just for car safety issues, but when we got out the car and back to it, we had two diff sets of weirdos to look at.or be amused with.when we got there, as i am getting out the car i see a ghetto drunk girl with a huge bottle of hennessy that the two thuggish guys she was with shoulda taken from here dayyys ago..shes wearing a hoochie dress and yelling at neone giving her the wrong look.i even heard her yell at some poor girl,saying she was jealous she couldnt wear that very dress herself.hunny pilates and lunges please before u wear that again!! *bartenders and aggitated *door men got that vegas attitude,i think they were trainig someone?? *inside was a mix of people..but it musta been like clubbin clothes circa 2002 night cuz i felt like i had gone back in fashion time from 09 to 02..i didnt start goin clubbin til 04 and we dressed better than that..please girls, lets dump the tops with geometric shapes.. * crowded inside this place is so so.i had fun i guess but it wouldnt be my first choice back
