YUM YUM good cocktails! THE STEAK TACO was absolutely delicious. Gorgeous decor and yummy chips + dips. Unfortunately something didn't settle well with me for the rest of the night but it tasted good at the time. Try not to fill up on chips so you have room for your food!

I visited East Side Showroom this weekend with friends from Chicago. The restaurant's theme was unique. It reminded me of a Tim Burton movie. Two of us ordered their specialty cocktails, which were fairly unique using Absenthe and St. Germain; you don't see those liquors used much in cocktail menus. The cocktails were pretty tasty but it did take us about 15 minutes to get them. We ordered the seasonal cheese plate and shrimp and grits as appetizers. The shrimp was great but the cheese portions were quite small. The entrees we ordered were the lamb burger, the sweet pulled pork, quail and the stuffed fish of the day. Everyone's dish was great except for the fish, it unfortunately had too many flavors going on that didn't compliment each other well in our opinion. The food was pretty good, besides the fish, but the service was very slow. It took us about 30 minutes to get our appetizers and about 45 minutes to get out entrees. Fortunately we had a lot of catching up to do but otherwise I would probably have complained about the wait. However, we were told that everything was made fresh to order and nothing was "pre-made" in any way. I also like that they try their best to use as many Texas ingredients as possible.

Warning prepare to take a trip back to childhood. Inside the castle feels like Harry Potter meets Troy but don't worry you can purchase a sword that lights up to protect you from the goblins. lol. The show is really good because its your chance to relieve yourself of all adulthood for about an hour and a half. The food was just like every other rateclubser said it would be... BLAND!!! Never the less the service is cool and the do a great job of getting the audience join the show by not providing utensils. I felt like I was in the movie Gladiator which is awesome. A word to the wise... SIP SLOWLY... you will not get anything else to drink until it is time.... I drink alot at dinner so i was completely turned off Overall go with and open mind and cheer hard and sneak in some seasonings for the chicken if you can... you will enjoy yourself. Enjoy and Indulge P.S Take Kelly H.'s advice dont be late you will be wondering forever
