Go..no run to Woodfire Grill. Hands down this place is one of the top 5 meals I've had thus far. This includes all international meals as well. We did the 7 course tasting and I was beyond full and ridiculously happy. This may have been due to all of the wonderful cocktails I sampled( all are perfection and intereseting) or our very caring waiter. Don't be intimidated by the fact that the Chef's tasting is blind- its guaranteed to be amazing!! Either way, Woodfire Grill has captured my heart and I will be a return customer.

I've had good times and bad ones here. However, the one experience which I always remember happened like this: Friday night, 12:30 pm. A female friend inside invites me to come to slide. i go. No one is outside in line. The bouncer tells me I can't come in. Why ? Because I don't have a female with me and will mess up the ratio inside. There is no one outside and I know its not that crowded inside. I tell him I am meeting a female friend inside. no go. I phone the woman inside, who happened to be dating the dj. She comes out and then he lets me in. Dealing with him, waiting in the cold, and the lame crowd inside (which wasn't crowded by the way) = not worth it.

Goat. Cheese. Balls. I can't properly stress this enough. You must have them. You must place them gently in your mouth. You must savor them. You must not maniacally chew them. You must submit. Seriously. I've gone to Ecco JUST for their goat cheese balls on an occasion or two. Most other times, however, I order an actual meal. Said meals are always delicious, flavorful, and generally life-affirming. They update the menu seasonally and it never disappoints. I have had phenomenal luck with the wait staff. When the ceiling fell on us during dinner [true story], they gave us free desserts. It was only a little bitty piece of ceiling. It's consistently wonderful and a regular haunt of mine.
