by Sunshine J. on This is a nice, intimate venue not to far from my house. I go to both the Oakland and the San Francisco Yoshi's venues. I like the restaraunt and ambiance in this Yoshis better than the one in Oakland. However, Oakland has a smaller more intimate vibe going in their jazz room. The food is pretty good but make sure you make reservations. Also, if you make dinner reservations you get to pick your show seats and apply $20 of your ticket cost to your meal if you bought it online. You can't pick your seats in Oakland, they just sit you somewhere even though you bought your tickets and made dinner reservations. The service is kind of slow, buy 2 drinks at once in the jazz room if you plan to have more than one the entire show (even if it's just water). I don't really go here for the food, I'm just trying to see the entertainment. And for that, they do a great job!
