by Cher Schleicher on I like this place for it's back room of piano crooners who belch out melancholy classics in often stunning, and sometimes tragically terrible, fashion. It's the kind of place you wanna go to on an off-night.
by Stacie Pestronk on Really really good. I've never had so many different choices of tuna before. I've never had such good tempura. I've never had a blue cheese in a japanese place before. I've also never had to pay so much for japanese food before. I had the Omakaza menu and ordered some sushi/sashimi on the side. I was a little hesitant at first. I'm not familiar with high-priced japanese cuisine. I mean most japanese places are pricey but not $150/person pricey. Most Michelin rated places I attend are french or italian or some other continental type. But I should've known better. I had nothing to worry about. Or maybe I love this place because Morimoto put that arrogant ginger-haired iron chef in his place. Nah, that's not it. But it makes me smile.
by Michelle K. on This place is always too packed and too smoky when I go there. The drinks aren't cheap, but they aren't expensive. I usually pay ~ $5 for a beer, and maybe slightly more for any mixed drink, depending on how the bartender likes you. My feelings are just "eh" but I've never been on an afternoon, so I'll give it another shot.
