by Amanda S. on Oh my lord how fun is this place? I never ate here. My friends and I came in around 11ish and it was poppin! $5 cover which I thought was a little silly but I went with it. drinks were I think $5-6 which was reasonable for how strong they were. The ginger drink was AMAZING. One thing that stood out while my girlies and I were dancing was no creepers were forcefully trying to grab us and grind on us. Most dance clubs I hate being hounded down by silly billies. Here everyone just had a fun good time with positive vibes. I felt like I was back in St. Martin! Won't lie I got hot and bothered and had to step out a few times. Needless to say I made some new friends, danced with a ton of fun people and had a great night. I will definitely be back! I super want to try the food here- sounds delish!
by diana i. on I came during the day when it's more of a cafe than a lounge. It's a nice space with lots of interesting art hung everywhere and comfy leather couches. A lot of people were on their laptops using the free wifi. I had the Classic Matcha Soda which was actually pretty disappointing. It was basically matcha green tea powder with club soda but all I tasted was club soda. Bleh. My friend's Greensycle was really good though! It was basically the same as my drink but also mixed with orange juice. They also have a lot of sandwiches to choose from but since we came after lunch, we were too full to eat. We were hoping they'd have a wide selection of pastries (it IS called Sugar Cafe after all) but surprisingly, they didn't really have any! They only had some muffins in their tiny plastic display on the counter. Booo.. disappointment. I think this place would be a lot better at night when it becomes a lounge.
