by Monica R. on Unfortunately being the location for many of our corporate events, Jillian's tries to be too many things to too many people, and so provides a watered down experience in many respects. It doesn't function well as a sports bar, because in order to actually watch the sports on their plasma screens, you'd have either sit at one of the limited bar stools or linger in the narrow corridor between the bar and dining area, thereby blocking traffic. This is because the screens are too small to be comfortably viewed from the dining area. It doesn't work as a lounge either, bc there's no music and there aren't any couches to recline on. As for their dining services, their catered food is mediocre--maybe food ordered off the menu fares better. The saving grace, especially for fans of the game, is the spacious adjoining room housing multiple pool tables.
by Muriel Piacente on Hands down, one of my favorite venues in the city! This place is absolutely beautiful. The acoustics are great and the vibe is mellow. It's 18 and over which is good for the young'ins. The staff has always been pleasant enough, no hard core aggressive bouncers. I would and often do recommend this place. If your favorite band is booked there, don't miss that show!
