by Chris L. on The only reason I come to the DNA Lounge is for Bootie on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturday of every month. I will tell you right away, I don't like it any other time. They are mostly an 80's club, so you'll end up finding a lot of people between 30 and 40. I don't mind it but its just not my scene. However, if you're looking for a fun time on a Saturday, go to Bootie. Mash-up's all night long, and the best live band ever, Smash Up Derby. I usually go just for Smash Up Derby. It's heart pumping, and just overall exciting. Sometimes they have some interesting shows instead of the Smash Up Derby, I usually just chill during those times and drink or talk with friends. The shows can be hit or miss. Note of caution for any homophobes, this is not an event to go to if you don't like drag, homosexuals, or anything of the sort. Even though there is a decent straight scene, I'd say about half or more of the people there are gay. Go to http://Bootiesf.comfor more info on their events. It's a great heads up to what they're doing the next Saturday. Price is $6 before 10pm, and $12 after.

I went with 3 girlfriends, and I spent more time preventing the aggressive perverts there from groping the ladies I was with! Needless to say, one crossed the line, and I got into a fight for the first time ever in my life at a nightclub!! It's a major cockfest, and sadly ladies, the guys that you will find here are just plain trash. Fir the fellas looking for ladies, don't get your hopes of even dancing with any of them. They are obnoxious attention queens who are in a pissy mood. Why go dancing? The are about 8 guys for every girl. Space officially sucks!!!

"MONDAY NIGHT ALL YOU CAN BOWL $20" Glow-in-the-dark bowling and a live DJ primarily dance/techno tunes from 10:00 pm - 3:00 am. Romance Factor: 5 Hobnob Potential: 7 Destination Rating: 6 Strong Suggestions: Hang at the bar if there is a long wait, and make sure you don't wear white undergarments when bowling at night ( just to make sure everyone else doesn't see your bra or undies :o)
