My House... the decor is amazing and beautiful but holy crap is there a shit load of asians. Don't get me wrong, I am asian myself but this place is like asian wildfire. You see a couple and than before you know it the whole place has exploded in asian people. As far as the wait, it is not too bad. Just make sure you call in to get on the guest list, but even then there is still a little but of a wait. The nice thing about being a girl is that there is no cover but if you are a guy than drats it's 15 buckaroos to get it. The music was great for me because I am not a fan of "house" music. Honestly I just can't get the rhythm down with house music but hip hop, rap, and r&b I can get my groove on. The drinks are pretty much 12 bucks a pop which is to be expected in LA. The bartender was amazing though, can't remember her name but she was blonde and one of the sweetest bartender I have encountered in LA. My House is fun but even better if you have been struck with the yellow fever!!!!

NO STARS!!!!!! Had an awful experience at Ruby Skye seeing some wonderful bands. I think all people of color should boycott this place. For the Zion I/De La Soul show they lined us up at the door, didn't offer tickets but just scratched our names off a master list, then we got inside and they barracaded us in saying that we were not allowed back out - AT ALL! And this was at 8pm. The show didn't start until 10p!! When we inquired about it at the end of the night security told us that it is manager policy there that when shows that are considered "Black" or draw many people of color, there are no ins and outs (even after paying 30 dollars a head for a ticket) and the drink prices are raised ("they said "because Black people don't tip," and there was no manager on hand to even deal with any of our inquiries. For those of you trying to book your shows at Ruby Skye, please keep this in mind. Do you really want to support racist managerial policy? There are plenty of places in the Bay that would appreciate your dollars and if the band is good enough we'll find a way to get there. Ruby Skye sucks! Too bad we had to find out after paying for overpriced drinks and disrespected at the door.

Came here on a Friday night and apparently it was Asian night cuz there wasn't muc....diversity. Oh well. This place was huge but from what I remember, not very well ventilated. It was PACKED and sweaty people EVERYWHERE and thus, I had to find refuge outdoors.... where all the smokers were. ugh. Good music, huge vodka shots, good vodka redbulls. I enjoyed the entertaining clientele but disliked the long wait.
