One star for the chill, fun, urban atmosphere paired with mediocre food. The other star for attentive and kind service from our waiter/waitress. Otherwise, my experience here was a disaster. Drinks: dirty Ketel Martinis, which came complete with rotten olives. Apps: Calamari (yum) and Empanadas (overcooked, could barely cut into them). Dinner: we split the Gulf Coast Yellow Tail Snapper (also overcooked, but decent flavor). A group came in, seemingly celebrating a birthday, and were seated at the two tables on either side of us. We were on the tail end of our dinner, and the hostess walked up, asked if we were finished, and started clearing our plates. We weren't finished. Fine. But then, when we were waiting to sign our check, she came over and asked if we were done with our waters, and martinis. I'm all for pre-bussing, but it came across that we were not wanted or welcome. A nice way of saying, GET OUT. Why she sat them on either side of us, I don't know. Why the hostess was bussing our table, I don't know. Had she asked us to move so they could sit together, we totally would have obliged. Rude. We left with a sour taste in our mouths. Partially from the rotten olives. (Sidenote: Jackie said I was wayyyyyy to nice in this review.)

We just sorta wandered in off the streets after dinner one Friday night. All the big guys with clipboards and ear pieces at the front door were super friendly, smiling and trying to get us to come in. So we moseyed on over the the line, and a few minutes later, someone asked us which guest list we were on. I look at him like "What guest list?" So he goes off and comes back with a manager, who proceeds to give the girls stamps to get in for free, and drink tickets for champagne. Awesome! He, like everyone else we encountered, was also incredibly friendly, chatting everyone up as he went. And we didn't even have to be a skanky girl-only group in order to get such special treatment. I'd go back just for the smiles.
