My wake-me-up-this-is-a-nightmare experience: It was a friend's birthday, I reserved a table. We were treated rudely at the door, misinformed on payment policies, seated in the wrong section, given a table for 4 (maybe 6) with a party of 12 buying three bottles + drinks, the music went out for 20 minutes because someone "tripped" over a wire, and when, due to misinformation and the rest of what I just told you, my party decides to leave, the promoter kicks ME out, tells me I'm "bad business" and that he never wants to see me there again. ::ahem:: It was truly a disappointment. Did I mention the screaming patrons? smh Makes me angry thinking about it and this happened in OCTOBER! Maybe I'm sensitive...

*IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN A TABLE PLEASE EMAIL: jax@boulevard3.comand mention that kat from rateclubs recommended you* (DISCLOSURE: just because I was offered a great price on a table doesn't mean it will always be offered. My recommendation to you is that if you do reserve a table it should not cost you more than $300 for 8 people from my own clubbing experiences). One word to describe my experience? Impressive. My TV guide version of Boulevard3: - Guestlisted & was confirmed (while my bro and his gf guestlisted both seperately from me and my bro didn't get a response and his gf got denied). - Offered VIP for a Cabana in the courtyard with one bottle of alcohol, four mixers, and comped admission for 13 people for $200 (If you don't know, it's a steal). Thanks Jax! - Club is large... three levels... top and middle were walkway/VIP tables. Bottom Floor dance floor. Bathrooms at "basement" level. Also had a side room "the library" with a bar and fondue. (fondue was served by a lady and was free, but there's a tip jar). Outside was courtyard like with cabanas for VIP and a small bar. Entrance was through two metal gates. - Parking was easy. - Music was good. - Breakdancers and gogo's fun to watch. Cons: - Serve yourself at your own VIP table (from what I recall the waitress does at least the first drink at other clubs). - Music only came from inside... so being outside in a cabana you only hear the thumps from the beat inside the club, wish they had a DJ outside... - Lots of stairs... if you're drunk you're basically screwed. Tip: If you don't want to pay for cover guestlist through their website under reservations. To ensure you get on.. make sure all of your friends go on and guestlist themselves as well as their group.. better chances of making it on. What put the cherry on top of this experience? The fact that they emailed me a few days after visiting the club to ensure that we had a great and pleasant time. Now that's service.

So we went to the new Tongue and Groove on Friday night. We were all excited about our visit, but what do you know, its looks just like Lotus Lounge used to look like. They have not done anything interesting to the place. At least Lotus had 2 rooms with different music, now the place is much smaller and a lot of people. Bartenders are great, we never had to wait for our drinks!
