Before this place got overcrowded--this place was actually really enjoyable and relaxing. It was a place that my friend and I happened to walk past several summers ago after being lured onto the boat by one friendly dog accompanying his owner/FP patron. At that time, we felt like we were the only ones there since we shared the boat with only a handful other guests. It was by far, one of the most relaxed Sundays I had ever had in a long while and we left only after the sun had set. Nowadays, it's still a great escape--but be VERY mindful of not going on a weekend. Better to go when it's a random day of the week if you're a visitor or just before/after the summer time. Food wise, it's not the greatest but it's not too bad either. They have a menu selection and their basic hotdogs/burgers are decent. Of course they also have a bar, so if you are spending the day or a couple of hours there--get yourself a pitcher of beer/sangria and enjoy yourself :)

Don't go expecting your usual MSG-laden strip-mall Chinese food. The food is lighter and healthier feeling than just about any other Chinese food I've ever had. I think they might even make their own noodles, they taste very fresh. The drinks are good and strong and the wait staff is attentive without being overly so. Prices are high, but for a nice night out you could definitely do worse. It's also good for special occasions. This is THE place to be in Brookline on Christmas Day. It's packed most of the day and gets nuts later in the night with people stacking up in the bar waiting for tables. The staff seems to prepare for it well though as food and service quality does not suffer.
