I went to Mansion Nightclub with a couple friends of mine who knew a promoter there to get us on the guestlist. We go in and went to the VIP section where we had bottle service all night. I have to admit, that made the experience a much more pleasant one. Judging by the menu, the drinks there are way over-priced and people are just dying to pay all the extra money. I guess like everything else in Miami, you are just paying for the label. Aside from the pricey drink and the over-packing of clubbers, Mansion is actually looks really cool. The music and lights make for a fun energetic atmosphere.

Went here last night for my friend's birthday. We got there after 10 so there was a $10 cover. The venue was whatevers, but really chill. Drinks are pricey but STRONG. I think my AMFs ($15) were just alcohol & blue food coloring. Service @ the bar is good. They don't make you wait 20 minutes to get your drink. I would describe the crowd, but I was pretty smashed, so I don't remember. A lot of Asians, I think. And one Asian chick in particular who was throwing up near the bar & slipping in her own yack. GROSS. But @ least she had a good time? Music was good. Dance floor wasn't overly packed. (Good thing.) There were a lot of creepers, but there are creepers anywhere you go. Ooooh! & another thing, bouncers weren't dicks! Overall yayyy. Would totally go back again. Oh yeah, & if you go to that $5 parking area, the guy's really nice! Totally NOT a dick about pregaming in your car. "Tequila, vodka, you wanna drink-- drink!" Hahahaha.

I am recovering from last night's shocking discovery -- NICE people who work at an SF bar. No really. Everyone was professional, friendly, and fun. The patrons were tossed and running around like they owned the place. I loved it! Updated 6.23.07: There might be better Ethiopian food in SF, but I love the yellow split peas at Waziema...so yummy. The beef and the lamb are also amazing. Wish the food were a bit spicier, but I am sucker for spice.
