My boyfriend and I went to Bordello to see a friend's band play (The Whirling Dervish totally rocked it out). We wouldn't have found it without GPS; it's definitely a hidden gem. True, the building isn't marked, but it does have neon around the roof and there's *nothing* else nearby, so if you can't find it, you probably shouldn't be drinking. The cover was $10 per person (which is pretty steep for a Sunday night), but the parking was free and right next door. So, it's a wash, I guess. The fact that we drove from Thousand Oaks to downtown LA on a Sunday night--and were *glad* that we actually made the trip--says it all. Good times.
