The other night I came into this spot which is usually great, however there was a bartender (latino looking fella, shoulda got his name) who could have been a little more honest about his inability to make a mojito because they "ran out of mint".... OK... I was with a guest from out of town, and I didn't want to start busting chops.. but it also is a well-known fact in the service industry that this means either "I just don't want to make it, because I'm lazy" or "I don't know how", or maybe they just ran out of mint! Well, this wasn't the case as the debonair George came in after this scab bartender left his shift... and voilĂ ! Two wonderfully crafted mojitos arrive in front of us with MINT!!!! Even though my friend may have been from out of town and had her SF map, doesn't mean that her friend is a visitor! I'll come back when George is at the bar....

One of the better places for dance music in San Francisco. Great sound system (bring earplugs!) and often great lineup of DJs. Well staffed bar, interesting crowd, open space, not too expensive. Line 22 stops nearby (among others) and I've actually also parked on the street in front of the club and picked up my car the next day. Not necessarily a recommended plan, but it worked. Mighty was a highlight of my Halloween weekend, also saw Mark Farina spin there some weeks ago. Highly recommended. I keep it high up on the list with DNA Lounge and SupperClub.

I had my birthday celebration there on Friday night and it was a blast. We had a party of 14 that was handled like a piece of cake. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was electric! Scorpion bowls were enjoyed by all. Everyone enjoyed their food. I was looking forward to their hot and sour soup which is something I crave. I believe they serve the best hot and sour soup in Boston. The only complaint came from two friends who ordered the pad thai that was evidently sub par (very surprising to me). Their dishes were removed from the bill, which was by no means a request, but was appreciated by the group. Overall I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the expedient tempo of the evening. I would highly recommend the Golden Temple to anyone looking for a great place to entertain a large group. In the past I have also found it to be an enjoyable place for a double date or dinner with the parents.
