i am so upset. i really wanted to like this place. i came here on a friday night with a decent sized group of people. we just came for drinks and dancing so i can't speak to the food. drinks: decently strong- 4 stars music: disappointing- 3 stars dancefloor: good size- 5 stars overall decor- nice 4 stars service: total garbage: 1 star on the service: for simplicity i gave the waitress, we'll call her Sally, my credit card for the night. i should've known this was a bad idea when my sister ordered a glass of red wine and she was served with a glass of wine and a bill for $15. do they not have any cheaper reds? oh no, they do. they have one for $9. did she request a specific expensive glass? no. typically, and i know from working in the restaurant biz, when someone asks for something as simple as "a glass of red wine" or "a glass of white wine" it means your house (cheapest) red or white. or, possibly, as an attentive server you can make a recommendation for something slightly better. so when i ordered a "gin and tonic" i was asking for a well gin and tonic. on round two, a different waitress came to drop off my drink - which i had ordered from Sally- and said "one sapphire and tonic" i said "no, i ordered well gin and tonic" and she said, "oh my mistake" and proceeded to go back to the bar and come back with "a different" drink. she assured me she had grabbed the wrong one and mine was in fact well gin. Well, sure enough at the end of the night, my bill comes and i've had apparently i'd been getting nothing but sapphire and tonics all night. of course since i had given my card to sweet Sally at the beginning of the night she had already charged my card by the time that i saw the bill. and knowing that she had tried to get one over on me, she managed to disappear for the next 20 minutes so the matter couldn't be disputed. This is when i decided to do something i have never done before... i stiffed her. i've never left a waitress $0 for a tip before, and even though she deserved it (her tip went into the top shelf drinks she decided i wanted) i still felt bad about it. well my regret stopped when i saw that she had taken the liberty to give herself a tip on my tab. nothing i love better than disputing a credit card charge. so in closing. i have ZERO intention of going back to this place.

START YOUR NIGHT HERE WITH VELVET NIGHTLIFE!!!
Velvet Nightlife.com is a web-site that allows you to tell Nightclubs in Hollywood what you are willing to spend for table service. The web-site works with club owners to help them reduce the amount of excess inventory that they have every night. It is not uncommon for a customer to be able to get VIP bottle service at many of Hollywood’s hottest clubs for a fraction of the normal cost. I got a table with two bottles of Belvedere for $400 including tax and gratuity.
