by Deannie W. on On my last trip to NY, I came here on a Sunday nite since it was President's day weekend and also Valentine's day weekend. The club itself is ok since to me it's small, I guess I'm just spoiled with the larger clubs here in LA. Music here was just ok too. Just grab a couple shots, or a couple of drinks and as always, none of those would matter and you'll have fun.
by Roxane Kalert on the venue is dark, industrial with high ceilings, killer sound system and what else -a couple mezzanines. i would venture out esp when they have Spundae ( http://www.spundae.com) or Release ( http://www.releasesf.com) promoting shows (SIDE NOTE: if Mezz owners were more aggressive, they should have given one of them to promote Friday's -anything to take a weekend nite away from Ruby Skye.) at any rate, i have heard bangin' sets by the likes of Digweed, Nick Warren, Sasha, WOW, Lee Burridge, etc. its always been good experience for moi. make sure to go when you know the promoter and/or are familiar with the artist.
