by Etta Wyche on suchhh a pretty club; this is what hollywood clubs should look like! i went in a group that consisted of 2 girls and 6 guys ............i swear, we weren't gonna get in. luckily, i shimmied a little of this and that towards the bouncer and he let us in (yay!) $20 cover, no one gets in free..sadly. we had pre-partied in the parking lot (in the cross street 1 block from the club, only $8!! and it's gated too!), so i just needed my 2 shots of henny to keep my buzz. mind you, i'm 5'10" and wearing 4" heels (math = 6'2"), so there wasn't a huge number of guys that i'd want to dance with (all were 6' and under... boo). the only complaint i have about this place is that this ghetto a*$ girl tried to steal my camera while i was waiting in line for the restroom!! really.... sadface. (fyi, she did NOT take it) likes: chocolate fondue table with strawberries!! but they run out quickk, so get your share before the pretty lady leaves her post. AND there's a taco man outside, towards the back! free tacos!! but i believe they only allow like, 2 tacos per visit, so it's really like an ultimatum: free tacos, or dancing? the outside lounge area outside had really nice cabanas that you can reserve (we did not... frugal college kids, ya know?), but during a mission to find cigs for the night, i ran into some guys that had a cabana and joined them. nice setting! (now, if only the cabanas were surrounded by a moat like in miami.. that'd be dope) i hear the dancers are really good, but i was a little too preoccupied, trying to defend my camera and getting danced up against the speakers by a midget. i think this is the closest any hollywood club would get to a vegas-style club. my two guy friends had to carry me out hahaha poor fellas.
by Crystal B. on I wanted to go here because I have been waiting over a year for the one in Miami, Florida to open. Upon arrival, the place looked pretty slow however it was 9pm on a Tuesday. When we walked in the banquet tables in the back and both bar areas were surprisingly full. I just wanted to go to the bar for a quick sample we sat a table instead, good for them. Because of the crowd and trendy location I was excited for our experience. Hum, should have thought again. Nothing was worth complaining about but then again nothing was overly amazing. The waiter tried to upsell our bottle of wine and then rushed out our food before we even got to finish our first sip. We had the watermelon and goat cheese salad, tuna tartar (the best thing), and a 6oz filet with the mushroom medley. The DJ was a little loud for a Tuesday night but being from Miami I wasn't too annoyed. I think it may be a great place to grab an app and a drink with a friend before going out but I don't think I will suggest it for a meal.
by Tanja Milz on Just read everyone's reviews and you will soon see the pattern of TOUCH- awful staff, ridiculous cover( really? I will never pay a 20-30 dollar cover in mid-town. There is just no need.) The coat check lady was a complete ass hat and charged me twice to get back my coat and the dj was terrrrrrible. And the crowd? Yuck, only if you're lookin' for herpes.
