by Kathy S. on This review is for the club.. 10PM to 8AM although I stumbled out at around 5. The crowd was hippyish and unconventional. I liked that. I also loved the outdoor dance floors. The thing is, the main indoor dance floor was pretty small. And it was rectangular in shape so you can't really spread out around the front.. you're either way too close or way too far. The speakers and lights are only in the front so near the back you don't get the full experience. I wouldn't go back here but if you're into that "Mighty Club" kinda "Burning Man" crowd then this place is for you. I think I actually prefer something a little less grungy myself. Lots of outdoor smoking. Weird belly dancers. Potheads. You get the gist of it I'm sure.
by Damion Krauser on UPDATE 08/24/07 a few weeks ago I was here and these two dudes around 2.30am SEPERATED ME FROM MY FRIEND WHOM I WAS FOLLOWING OUT OF THE CLUB AND BOXED ME IN, saying MY FRIEND THINKS YOU"RE CUTE with the dude holding me back by both shoulders, from behind. It was incredibly awful and creepy and I had to duck under them and RUN to avoid being kidnapped. ________________________ Okay. Here's the deal. The space is too large. It's TOO LARGE. I didn't care for the crowd, save for the rateclubsers I ran into on the night I went. I liked the musicians they brought in, but hated that there wasn't a singles situation--it was all couples, groups, people who weren't really talking to other people, who were just into their own group they came in with and that's that. So there is one star for a good list of performers and two for Miri's bartending skills. The drinks in general are not particularly pricey but they aren't cheap. I probably wouldn't come back here unless other rateclubsers convinced me to go with them for some specific event.
