Mmmk so here is the story on this place. Go on a weeknight, avoid the B&T crowd. The food is actually really good, the desserts are amazing. The steak is obviously fantastic, but the corn pudding/mac and cheese are stellar as well. The booths are plush, the decor is low key/chic, just do it on a week night and avoid the nonsense.

This bar totally exceeded my expectations. It doesn't look big from the outside, but I was shocked at how large it is when I walked in. There is a bar area with shuffleboard, and beyond that there is another space with a pool table. Beyond that, there is a large outside beer garden/patio area, with picnic tables and benches to sit at and heat lamps. There is also another room that I didn't go in, but there was a band playing in there, and I think you have to pay to actually go inside, but you can sit outside and hear the music if you don't want to go inside where the band is playing. The people were chill, the place was spacious, I had a great time playing pool, the bartenders were friendly and poured a strong drink, and I can't wait to go back and sit outside when the weather is warmer.

After Drinks at Frisson and Matrix Fillmore, my wife and I, and her 2 female guests we were entertaining, arrived at Suede at 10:45 for an evening of dance..... All you have to do is go to their Web site http://www.suedesf.com/ to start the grand deception. 1. They are not a upscale night club. 2. The place looks nothing like the web site photos. No soft lighting. No decorative rooms etc.... 3. Just another empty warehouse space like where you might hold an all night rave in industrial South of Market. Everything's black. I thought I was on a pirate ship or at a bad Halloween party were someone did a terrible job decorating their garage. No Class; No variation in music. Really, does another place like this need to be in SF? The worst part is the deception. Maybe there are new owners, maybe they gutted the space to brink it back to its underground warehouse club roots... But a big pass on this one as there are so many other nice dance/ night clubs to try in SF. ----the apostle
