We came here because we got a Groupon for 50% off dinner. I admit that this place is expensive, but I think the experience is well worth the price. Drinks are $10 and dinner is $55 per person before tax and tip, so count on ~$100 per person. We had a delicious 4 course prix fixe dinner that included crab and corn soup, duck breast in a wine reduction, NY strip with Chinese broccoli, and lychee crème brulee with a melon shooter for dessert. The entertainment for the night included an acrobat on a velvet rope, some top notch singing, a bootie shaking contest, and a burlesque show that would make most people blush. I think the only requirements for a good time here is a good attitude. I will venture to say that perhaps some of the people who gave this place a poor rating might not have been ready to have a great time. See for yourself...

Had a kickass birthday there... Wanted to go out dancing with friends to celebrate. My friend Damian was DJing in the side room on a Friday night, so worked with the manager Michael to get a table and some bottles over there. Hadn't been here since this place used to be Lotus Lounge, and did love the old T&G in Buckhead. By the time we got there, we had a group of about 20 people and had no problem getting everyone in immediately. The door guys were super nice, and so were the waitresses and bartenders. What I love about this place is not only that it is fun, not too meat-markety, but that it doesn't get packed. Nothing I hate worse than getting to a club and hardly even being able to dance because people are too squished onto the dancefloor. All of my friends had plenty of room to move around our table and on the floor. The crowd here overall was pretty cool, had an acceptable douchebag to normal people ratio. The bathrooms are clean and never had a line, which is of the utmost importance when chugging screwdrivers. I do have a bit of nostalgia for the old Tounge & Groove which used to be super hot back in my party days, so I don't think this new one will ever live up to that. Truthfully though, I would have had an amazing time no matter where I took my friends, because they are one hell of a fun crowd no matter where you're at, but T&G met all my expectations and made for a memorable evening. Kudos!
