I love Phipps Tavern. I've been for happy hour and dinner several times. I don't recommend going strictly for dinner. I've had better meals in other places in Atlanta so Phipps Tavern isn't my top choice for food. But their dessert menu is amazing! I've tried them all and always leave with a happy tummy. The Tavern Chips are good as well besides desserts. My favorite thing to do at Phipps Tavern is to have drinks. The bartenders know how to make them strong, which is always a plus. And they know how to put on a show. I've seen a few of them do bartender stunts. For instance, build a tower with glass cups and fill the cups with alcohol. Also there's a good crowd too. Normally business types. But nonetheless a good crowd. I've always gone with a group of girlfriends for pregaming before we have a night on the town.

I went here for a private event that being said the event was good. The line was in the back and therefore very inconvenient for parking but are you going to do it's hollywood be thankful there is parking. When we go to the back we weren't on the guest list but that got resolved cover is average and once inside we were instantly lost. This place is enormous. First we got lost on the roof then the middle and found that that venue was in the basement. Although we were invited the staff was completely clueless on where to direct us thus us getting to the roof somehow. The basement is a surprisingly spacious and well ventilated which is much to be said of other places like avalon that doesn't. The drinks were cheap and strong and the seating is ample. The other thing you may consider is to not eat here the food is absolutely terrible. That being said the place is better then most places in Hollywood other then the clueless staff you'd have a good but expensive time.

Copeland's Copeland's is a famous New Orleans restaurant and bar with several Atlanta locations. Not to be confused with the sister restaurant Cheesecake Bistro in Atlantic Station, Copeland's serves a creamy spinach and artichoke dip with fried bow toe pasta that is out of this world. Yes, it sounds weird but it tastes so good. If you literally order this with a drink you will be full. Speaking of drinks, the alcoholic beverages are very strong. By far the Traditional Smokin' Long Island Iced Tea, served in a tall glass with smoking dry ice, is the strongest. Usually my limitation is one drink, but at Copeland's it's half a drink. If you plan on drinking, please designate another driver. Getting back to the menu, the Tomato Basil Chicken served on bed angel hair pasta with plum tomatoes, basil and spices in a garlic sauce. Yummy! I would stay away from the fried catfish because it is not that good. However, the selection of other seafood, chicken, steak and Cajun Creole dishes available will satisfy your palette. Cheesecakes are also available and if you're cooking the turkey this Thanksgiving, you can fool your guests into thinking you're a real chef by purchasing a whole Cajun turkey from Copeland's. Turkeys are sold in November and December with reheating instructions. You have to visit, maybe even try the Sunday Brunch. Both indoor and patio seating is offered and can comfortably accommodate large groups. If the Buckhead restaurant is not convenient visit http://www.copelandsat...other locations.
