The food here was pretty good. We ordered the pitcher of sangria (15 bucks for a pitcher but it was like grape juice than an alcoholic beverage) We had the fish tacos, meatloaf and calamari. These were all pretty satisfying. The meals were pretty solid and the ambience and environment were unique. I thought i was cl that they had a dance floor there too!

Came here for the first time for a romantic birthday dinner, and I had a wonderful experience. My boyfriend was a little bummed that they spoiled the secret about my birthday (he had called earlier to ask that they not mention it until dessert), but as soon as they seated us the host thanked me for celebrating the day there. Oh well, it was the thought that counted so it didn't bother me. The service was amazing, as most reviewers have noted. Our waitress was Kristin and she was fantastic. The guy that helped us with the wine list was terrific too - Peter maybe? We stared with the cheese and meat platter and some mussels. Yum! I had the stuffed trout and my boyfriend had the short rib pasta. We shared the green beans with garlic. We loved everything. The wine that was suggested was really good as well. And to top it all off, the chocolate semifreddo that Kristin recommended was perfect. Not too sweet or rich. I can't wait to go back to try other things on the menu.

This was our last night in San Fran, so we decided to give this place a try. We didn't want to stay for the show, we were just looking for a decent place to eat within walking distance from our hotel. It's great to say that we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The waiter said we should get a basket of biscuits to start off with, going on about how good they. I'm thinking "yeah right, they're just biscuits". But I'll be damned, they were some good biscuits...LOL. When the food came out, we were surprised at how much food was on the plate. Neither of us could finish all our food. We also ordered two drinks, and we were shocked at how strong the drinks were. (We just came from visiting Vegas, the city with the weakest, most-watered down drinks in the world) If we ever come back to San Fran, we are DEFINITELY coming back to this restaurant. It's hard to find places that are actually worth the money these days.
