by Aaron B. on This review isn't going to be too helpful to anyone seeing as I ate there about a year ago so I can't remember much, but I can remember this: Sushi House Hayakawa has the best sushi I have eaten. That's it folks. Yes you'll pay up for it, and yes it is totally worth it.
by Deejay A. on Only reason I DIDNT give this place 4/5 stars is because they tried JIPPING OUR ENTIRE TABLE! We got table service here for STEVE ANGELLO's big night, all was going well until i woke up the next morning at 5 AM to bank of america blowing up my phone about weird charges to my debit card. My card was just used to reserve the tables we had gotten for that night and iw as promised by 2 promoters their they wouldnt charge it! We paid cash and they STILL charged my card after we left! Fuckign SHADY! Besides that, avalons a pretty nice venue, nice sound, cant beat playhouse or vanguards sound systems, would love if they put speakrs up by the bottle service upstairs..
by Elodia Bimler on The word is not dump -- it's dive -- and there's a big difference. The Back Fence is definitely my favorite bar in the Bleeker area, and possibly in the city. Somehow, believe it or not, this bar actually convinced me to move here. Incredible (and a bit exaggerated), I know. If you're looking for a no-frills watering hole with some great music and cheap drinks, this is the place to go.
