by Bo Y. on I've always like Pure. It's one of the few semi clubs on 6th. They also have $1 beer night on Thursdays and one of the guy bartenders is famous for his Flaming Dr. Peppers. Pure is a 3 level bar/club with a cool blue ambiance. Lower floor has a long bar with exclusive booths and the top floor has a bar with a small dance floor. The music is amazing with the live DJ and the dance floor gets packed and wild. I'd definitely stop by here, if anything, just to see the interior design and here the live DJ.
by Young R. on No issues getting in (3 girls, 1 guy), but there were some very impatient people demanding that we pay $20 cover inside or leave. The bartender inside was kind of mean too... Drinks were not cheap, but effective. There were these two bored-looking but hot girls in bikinis and fishnets sashaying around on stands. Kind of a distraction because every time they came out, guys would just stand there and ogle for about a minute until it was clear they weren't going to do anything more interesting. The girls swinging on the ceiling were pretty cool though. Let's see, there were A LOT of Asian guys there. Depending on who you are, you may find this fact appealing or not. Possibly a little bit on the... more drunken/thuggish side though because (no joke) this group of the biggest guys in the club threatened to beat us up for standing in their way. Other than that, it was pretty fun. The space is very large with high ceilings but was filled with enough people that it still looked fun and not empty. I hate the tiny, suffocating clubs, so this aspect is more important than anything.
