Great menu, all local and fresh foods. Interesting location and crowd. Many "pin up girls" with 60's hair and tattoos. Very fun to people watch. The most spectacular thing about this place are the DRINKS. Amazing bartenders, great to watch them make all of these very interesting drinks. I always get the Pims and Lemonade. It is soo fresh with TONS of fruit. Love this!

The more I come to Hiro, the less I like it. Usually, I get dragged here either for somebody's birthday or when my friends and I don't know where else to go on Friday nights post-dinner. Since we know the promoters, it's not a problem getting in, but the bouncers can get anal, even when the promoters themselves come outside and point you out as comped patrons. The space is quite nice, there's a Japaenese theme going on, with girls flipping and twirling from the ceiling drapes/ribbons but seeing it more than once loses its "wow" factor pretty quickly. I only remember being here on Fridays (yes, "Asian Nights") and the DJ is usually mediocre. The drinks are strong here, but that may be because I have a super low tolerance. Bottles are typical prices, $350+ per bottle, the best tables are the ones toward the back bar, you get a good view of the dance floor and there's enough tables gathered back there where you have a little scene of your own. The crowd doesn't seem to change much, earlier in the night, it just seems like post-work happy hour, only set in a dark club instead of a bar, and obviously the drinks are not HH-priced. It used to be mainly Korean but it has slowly turned Chinese. It's not really a hotspot, just seems like a large gathering place. p.s. They actually use their Lost&Found! I didn't even realize I lost one of my credit cards and license until a day later, but they kept it for me, and were very kind about the whole thing. I don't HATE Hiro, but I always end up puking my brains out while the patient bouncer politely escorts me out. I don't care to relive my unpleasantly drunk memories here, maybe that's why I get so drunk, it's quite boring (so-so DJ, so-so crowd, unflattering lights) when you're sober. Hiro deserves a 2.5 from me, but the staff is really great here so I'm rounding up to a 3.

The drinks are way too expensive. I was there this past weekend at an Element party and found out there were no tabs allowed. What a stupid concept. If they are done properly, then you can control them and get paid. If you can't control drunk people's tabs, then you are an idiot. So this is more of a comment on the organizers rather than the establishment. The good news is that there is a lot of parking whether street (free) or garage (not totally worth it). The club has 4 areas. A mid size downstairs and 3 upstairs room. 2 of these rooms have bars. There are also rooms for private parties as well as a VIP table area. I guess it could be fun. Eat lots of alcohol absorbing food when you go.
