by Chad Y. on The EndUp was certainly an interesting club to visit on a recent trip to San Francisco. After many friends said that was where everyone in the city was going, we had to stop by. As we waited patiently in the line to enter, there was certainly a interesting mix of people going to be there and the staff was pretty good about making the line move (on one of the busiest nights). Once we got in, the club is laid out in a pretty well-designed fashion with multiple bars surrounding the dance floor and a rather nicely appointed outside deck area. The deck is a much welcomed reprieve from the heat and crowded interior. Its one lacking area had to be the small dance floor considering how large the club is. The bars were bad. There isn't another word I could use and I sadly don't wish to sugar coat it. While the drinks are poured with a decent hand, the bartenders were painfully slow and there were no where near enough of them to work the bars. We waited about 20 minutes to finally order our drinks which then probably took another 5 minutes to get. Service...eh.... The crowd was definitely a good mix, although it definitely showed the cliques and different groups that frequent it. That being said, as an out of towner, I certainly didn't feel out of place. All in all, a good place to check out...just prefunk before getting there if you need your drink n!
by Corina Rohloff on Depends on the night. I had an amazing time here for the Katrina benefit, but haven't hit it on the right night since. Updated 3/2/06: Had an awesome dinner there last week. Seafood ravioli and sushi rolls were excellent.
