Unfortunately Philly has ancient draconian liquor laws still in place that force all clubs/bars to close by 2AM. I'm pretty sure that is the reason for why Philly has never really developed a first-class clubbing scene. We never see great DJs come by unless they're playing at the Electric Factory. That being said, G did do a great job with their decorations. The walls are covered in LEDs, theres a cool little wall-waterfall, and other pretty things like that. If I could pick up the club, drop it in NYC, and bring in some world-class DJs - I would be happy to say this was an amazing club. But I can't. If you're in Philly check it out, but just don't expect anything like NYC, DC, Europe, etc.
by Alpha Lupu on Very fun place if you go with a lot of people you know. We had a Senior Pub Night here and it was one of the best times I had all year. The scorpion bowls are delicious and can get anyone on the dance floor. However I went a few weeks later for my friend's 21st and it was full of sketchy large men staring at girls with an awkward eye--not my kinda scene.
