$1 PBRs and a giant patio with heaters made up for the fairly divey bar area. I don't even like PBR but for $1 a piece I'll happily pretend to be a hipster for a couple of hours. It's also hard to dislike a bar that's this close to so many delicious taquerias.

The interior, as described in glowing detail before me, is staggeringly beautiful - a serious stroke of interior design genius - possibly the most beautiful interior of any restaurant I've eaten in in Austin. I ordered the grilled steak and fried okra over a bed of frites. All of the flavors blended wonderfully. The proportions were generous without being too big. The chef is obviously top shelf. The service was very attentive, generous, and effective in creating a very welcoming comfortable and positive experience. I felt "loved" without being doted on. Perfect. At their prices, this place won't be a regular thing for me, but it has claimed the crown from Chez Nous as my top pick place to take a fine lady on a date, or to treat myself to a delicious meal for special occasions. Amazing!
