good energy, interesting crowd. met friends there and took a peek into her world. 'Burning Man' crew dominated this place, but really a fun energy for a divey type dance club. Gritty, at times did not smell too great, but a good place to cut loose late at night if under the right circumstance and or sedation.

ugh... what a total mess of a place! I got dragged to the End Up for one reason - I had never been here before... and really I didn't miss ANYTHING. It's crowded and dark and unpleasant. Here's the best way I can describe the experience: I felt like I was in a movie about drugs, one of those movies where everything descends into total chaos and insanity at the end, and this was the last party scene. Scary. One star for staying open until dawn [even though they stop selling alcohol at 2], and having a big open wooden deck in the back... And one more star for the photobooth.

I'm not going to sound redundant, but it is the best place to watch a concert. The stage is somewhat small, but it makes for a more intimate concert experience since the acts will be so close to you. Other than that, there are only minor gripes-- there are only two bathrooms, the ATMs never work when I go there, the beers are overpriced (that's nothing new wherever I go), and it's located in a somewhat seedy neighborhood (Tenderloin?) with loud crackheads and titty bars on every other block. Nonetheless, you can find decent street parking not that far from the place, plus you dont' really have to wear a bulletproof vest while walking through the 'hood. Shows that I have seen at GAMH: Savath & Savalas, Mum, Lyrics Born, 13&God Shows that I wish I had seen at GAMH: Lauryn Hill, Kings of Convience, The Arcade Fire The Arcade Fire THE ARCADE FIRE plus a shitload of others...
