by Angela T. on I really like this place. It's easy, not too pricey and delish. The fish tacos "nick's way" are the best! I'm not a fan of the interior, but I think it works for what it is. It is hard to find seating sometimes, especially if you go on Tuesday. But like I said, it's yummy, chill and not too pricey. I love it. The cash only thing is annoying.
by Mimi S. on Was here on a friday night, I believe this is called "Dragon" on fridays. I have NEVER EVER been to a bar with so many guys. It was fun and the music was great. The cover charge was only $8. There was a mini line but it went by really quick. Right when my crew and I walked in, there was a drag queen show. I believe it was "mama" from AsiaSF. She was performing at Dragon. The place was PACKED. omfg it was so difficult squeezing through a sea full of gay asian guys. I enjoyed the vibe upstair, oh by the way coat check is upstair (dont know why). OMFG, the ventilation system on the upper level needs major HELP. It was so god damn hot in there, I couldnt breathe. Sweatin every min. Felt like it was a sauna. Minus one star for poor ventilation system. But definitely would come here again, but I will be more prepared for the sauna on the upper level.
by Rolland Germershausen on *update* 6/6/06 Just returned from another stellar show at the GAMH-Glen Phillips w/David Mead. This was an acoustic show and the venue was the perfect setting for such an intimate performance. Five stars for the crowd for being so attentive and for not shouting out requests between every song! I can't wait for Keane in two weeks. Awesome venue...I saw Snow Patrol here last month and love the intimacy of the place. If you get there early enough, head upstairs and try and snag one of the few available seats. Food is just ok, the smart bet is to grab a bite at Olive before the show.
