by Hey T. on This places walks a weird line between bar and restaurant. You don't want to hang out and have drinks at a restaurant and you don't want to sit down for a nice meal at a place with a mechanical bull. The bull is fun though, you can ride it for free if you buy a drink. The physical space is really nice, I think they just need to refocus the place into a more welcoming hang out that has food instead of a restaurant that has a bar and a bull.
by Joana Stevinson on After figuring out that were started in line for Cabana Room, and we found the line for Green Door, we were set. Green Door was beautiful inside. I was completely blown away by the decor. My biggest problem: there wasn't a designated dance floor. With the live DJ, everyone just started dancing in front of the DJ booth. Which is fine, I guess. But you have people trying to get through to go to the bar and such.
by Caren Hutch on Free parking, overflowing toilets, great sound, expensive drinks, excellent people watching, full coat check, fantastic national and local acts, pricey covers...sometimes. See? It's good but it's not perfect. And that's ok. Oh I hear the best time to get there is before 10 PM...no really...because that would mean I could get there earlier too and not be the only person there. I like Friday nights personally. And I'm one of those aging hipsters that frequent the place. Maybe the old people aren't there on Saturdays? Just a tip for you youngins...
