Dear Bruno's management, you could invest in cleaning your premises. Been to Bruno's a few times, but last time was the most traumatic. The floor at the bar was sticky, the carpet was sticky, the bathroom floor was sticky. Did you dip your mop on sugar water? After seeing the difference of the carpet and realizing how dirty it was I wanted to puke. Look the carpet's color below the counter and compare it to the color of the exposed carpet. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! For now, I am taking a break from Bruno's and looking into a lounge were the management care about having clean premises. Thanks

Yes, Trigger will be opening on May 1st, but they have had a slew of hard hat walk-throughs in the last month, and began with pre-opening cocktail parties beginning last Friday night, April 24th. For starters, yes, there is "Black Card Service" for "Club Members". The pre opening cost was $500, but $100 of that was donated to charity, as the bar is all about Philanthropy and charitable causes, as witnessed through the opening events being fundraisers for various charities. In addition to that aspect, the Membership allows you a private entrance with no waiting in line, allows you to bring in guests with no cover charge, a private coat check and private bathroom. It also comes with VIP services, a concierge service and first access to the penthouse suite that sits above the bar for private events or overnight stays... Now, the bar itself is a great departure from what we have been subjected to in the Castro. It is much more open and inviting then most of the bars, with great use of large couches, a fireplace and glass. The bar itself is located in the center of the room and flows nicely, with an additional upstairs area great for viewing the crowd below. The bartenders (male and female) are very friendly, make a good drink and although attractive, not pretentious. The music has been off the hook every night I have been so far, and I know that the goal is to have a "lounge feel" from opening to roughly 10pm, when the music will amp up and be very eclectic, not your typical pop/bop. This weekend we heard everything from Everything But The Girl to Beyonce, Tears for Fears to Chemical Brothers..and it all works! I am really excited for this bar to actually open, and hope that it remains a bit of an upscale bar so that the "Bridge and Tunnel" crowd and the twinks can keep Badlands as their own, and leave this to those of us with a little more bar going experience.

Definitely what you would call "upscale/ gourmet Chinese food". I'm torn, yes they have a hip atmosphere, great cocktails, and tasty food, however there's something about this place that doesn't beg me to return. Maybe it's the pricey food and snooty feel. They are always packed on weekends so expect a wait. Check it out if you looking for high end Chinese food otherwise eh..
