While it seems to be a mixed bag for some if you read the reviews, I had no complaints. I had the mussels, veal sweetbread, and duck breast. For dessert, I asked the waiter to surprise me, and he brought the french toast, banana, bacon treat. Is there hype around the place, sure. Is it worth the stop. You bet. While not cheap coming in around $60 a person, it was a dining experience. I'm glad I went, and I would go back.

Circle Nightclub you failed me miserably. There are times when a girl just wants a nice buzz that turns into a borderline drunk state. This was my goal however clearly you did not want me to achieve it. First off are you sure your shot glasses are made to contain the proper 1.5 ounces of liqueur? Second, if your bartenders worked faster they could actually sell more alcohol, get more people drunk, bring in more money for your establishment, and thus have more happy and satisfied customers. Just some things to think about. Your DJ...I am sure you house more than one, however this past Saturday I couldn't understand what was happening with the music. It was almost as if he had no familiarity with Top 40 or if so, only numbers 35-40. There were a few old school favorites mixed in (of which I can't remember now) that I appreciated so I can't give all bad marks. On the positive side, thanks for not having a women's bathroom that contains only 1-2 stalls. (That always causes utter disappointment in my opinion). I give the attendant props for keeping tabs on the drunk girls and not letting them cut to the front of the line. What saved the evening was that I went with a large group of friends which is proof that even when the establishment lacks the night does not have to be lost.

one of my favorite places in philly! I've been here three times, and it functions as so much -- the upstairs features local or new artists, usually free or a small cover charge, and the downstairs is a true concert venue that brings in musicians from everywhere. the upstairs is this mesh between a restaurant/bar area and has a low stage which is great b/c if you're sitting close enough, you'll be right next to the artist. the servers are always fun and outgoing, and the drinks are great. food is pretty good, could be a little bit cheaper. def a spot to hit if you want live music and good night out. make sure to check the website to see who's performing and cost before you go.
