The Edison is a great place to hangout, grab drinks, socialize, and not worry about whether or not anyone is going to notice that you're wearing last seasons Tory Burch flats. I like the atmosphere and the illusion that takes you back into the 20's with the silent movies playing on the walls. This lounge really captures LA's historic roots by taking you into the past with a splash of the present. There was a line forming when I got there at 11 but it moved fairly fast. OR you can bust a Mimi and walk up to the bouncer, look stupid, with a smile, and pretend you didn't see the line around the corner. Doesn't hurt to try;) Drinks are pricey if you have a high tolerance. Luckily for me, I'm a cheap date. Majority of the crowd were in their 20's and mid 30's (young professionals). There were a lot of places to sit and be sure you're well dressed or they won't let you in. Sip and enjoy

Before I even saw the great reviews from fellow Rateclubers I went to this piano bar in hopes that I could sing the night away... and I did! I am a singer....and a lover of musical theater and this place was totally up my alley. Drinks are decently priced, tasty, and all the wait staff are extremly nice and complimentory. I loved them! Go enjoy the entertainment or if your a singer go sing!!! They love it! Only thing is....if your not gay and you go with some guy friends or girlfriends everyone will probably think you are...but hey whatever right? I certainly didn't care and neither did my "lover" for the night.
